Jim Nicholson
Jim has over 27 years in the home furnishings industry. He has had the opportunity to help make other furniture retailers successful over the years, but nothing has been more rewarding than owning Gladhill Furniture. Jim proudly states, “Gladhill Furniture has a history of serving customers with their home furnishing needs for nearly a century.” It is that history along with Jim’s leadership skills that make Gladhill Furniture one of the area’s premier furniture retailers. He is proud to be associated with a staff of dedicated employees that offer the client the highest level of service possible.

Sheila Duffy
After years of working for Gladhill Furniture, Sheila Duffy was well aware of the company’s outstanding commitment to its customers and community. But it was when Sheila became a mother that she saw first-hand how that commitment extended to the staff as well. After rising through the Gladhill ranks from part-time employee to management, Sheila has enjoyed the opportunity to raise a family while remaining part of the workforce by returning part-time following the birth of her daughter. She loves coming to work every day. “My job is fun! How many people can say that?”

David Fink

Wendy H. Saylor
Wendy H. Saylor loves a good challenge, particularly the search for the perfect furniture, styles, colors and fabrics to complete her customers’ “dream room.” A “people person” with over 25 years in the interior design business, Wendy loves meeting new people – “Come visit me!” – as much as she loves the extensive resources and relaxed atmosphere at Gladhill Furniture.

Janet Shockey
It’s obvious that Janet Shockey likes working in a family-business environment – she’s been with the Nicholson family for over 16 years. Kelly Stieff
Kelly brings 35 years of experience in interior design, specializing in residential, resort, commercial and model homes. She is a graduate of the University of North Carolina at Greensboro with an interior design degree. As a professional member of ASID (American Society of Interior Designers) Kelly has a unique talent for designing rooms that combine classic inspiration with modern sensitivities to comfort, scale and elegant personalized details. Her work has been featured in the Washington Post and several design publications. Kelly says, “I love turning the dreams my customers have for their homes into reality.”
